Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor Bowls Club is located in the village of Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor, six miles west of Abingdon. We are a thriving, club with the advantage of an all-weather floodlit green which is available for bowling every day of the year. We welcome new members to the Club, whether they are experienced bowlers or complete beginners. Coaching is available for those who would like it.
We play in several leagues (details in this website), as well as friendly matches, Club competitions and casual 'roll-ups;'. Necessarily, the Club was closed for much of 2020 and early 2021, but with the relaxation of Covid-19 rules the Club is returning to normality and matches against other Clubs began again in June 2021.
We are a friendly club – in common with most bowls clubs, the majority of our members are retired, but we welcome men and women of any age. Indeed, new younger blood would be particularly welcome. This website will tell you something about the Club, but if you would like to talk about learning to play bowls, do email or telephone us – details are on the contacts page.
The Club is now open but will continue to operate under the current Covid-19 rules.
All fixtures were delayed until the second half of the season. After 19th July, all being well, we shall be able to operate as we did in 2019!
