KLX LEAGUE |
*****NEWSFLASH ******* NEWSFLASH ***** |
The KLX finished the season off with a good win at Abingdon B. The league has been very tight all season and that final match win took them to a final league position of 3rd in the league and only just missing promotion by 3 pts.
Well done to captain Mick and all the players who supported him through his first season as KLX captain.

ASHLEY BAKER LEAGUE |
In the Ashley Baker league the club wanted 8 points from the 20 on offer from their last two games to clinch the league. They only managed 2 points from their game away to Milton Hill. They therfore needed six points from their final game away to Kintbury, in a very close fought match they managed to get four points missing out on the match points by two shots. This meant that Faringdon would have to gain maximum points from their last game to win the league and this is what they did, thus demoting Kingston into the runners-up position.
Well done to Faringdon.

PORTUGAL TOUR 2011
Another successful bowling tour to Portugal was organised by our club captain Frank Abraham. Approximately twenty bowlers from KB&S and a few from our near neighbors Faringdon and Milton Hill played a total of four friendly matches against local bowling cubs.
A photograph of the tourists can be found opposite and shown at heavier Bowls Club in the Eastern Algarve and which happened to be the home club of Di Turner the Personal Touch representative who happened to be our tour rep last year at Lagos. |
